The Properties

Lochside Apartments consists of 2 adjoining units which can be let separately for up to 4 people or as one unit for bigger parties of up to 8. Carlingwark House is just a 2-minute walk from the apartments and sleeps 6.

Each apartment consists of 2 ground floor bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 Shower room, first-floor open plan kitchen/dining/living room with floor to ceiling doors leading to an outside balcony and outside areas to both front and rear.

Lochside Apartments are 2, family-run, self-catering apartments. These apartments are purpose-built holiday lets which were only completed in late 2010 and we are proud to be the only purpose-built holiday lets in Castle Douglas. We decided to build the apartments in this location to take full advantage of the stunning views over Carlingwark Loch and out towards the Screel and Bengairn hills as well as all local amenities being within walking distance.

The apartments are set in their own grounds, just at the edge of Lochside Park with their own off-street parking. Each apartment can be let separately or together, as one unit with a 10% discount being applied.

Lochside Apartments

Ground Floor

To the front of the property, there is a small patio area and a secure bike store.

There are two well-equipped bedrooms, both with wall-mounted flat-screen TVs and built-in DVD players, vanity area, iPod docking alarm clocks and ample wardrobe and drawer space. Each bedroom can be made into either twin or double rooms, with high quality, 100% cotton bedding. One of the bedrooms has French doors leading out onto a large patio area, which has clothes drying facilities and hot tub.
Also on the ground floor, there is the main bathroom with over-bath shower, demister mirror, heated towel rail, and modern furniture. The washer / dryer and ironing facilities are located under the stairs.

First Floor
Open plan living / kitchen / dining area leading out through floor to ceiling bi-fold doors onto our large balcony area.
The kitchen comprises of modern appliances and equipment for all your needs, including dishwasher, fridge freezer, induction hob, microwave, fan oven, and ample crockery and glassware.

The living area consists of two leather couches which look out over Lochside Park, solid oak furniture, 42” flat screen tv with satellite channels, iPod docking stereo, dining table and leather chairs with ample space for four people. The balcony is a large area which once the bi-fold doors are open doubles your living space and with the table and chairs on the balcony gives you a perfect area for alfresco dining with magnificent views.  There is access through the dividing fence on the balcony which can be opened up when the two apartments are let as one.  This access will be locked at all other times.

Also on the first floor there is a fully tiled shower room with a large shower enclosure, WC, modern furniture and heated towel rail.
